Happy Halloween ~

Happy Halloween!! I know I'm a little late this morning, but it's been pretty hectic this morning, for several reasons. Had to make sure my x-rays would make it to the neck/spine specialist's office in time for my appointment tomorrow morning. (or else the appt. would be worthless) Oh, and.. uh.. we may be buying a new vehicle.

I know, completely out of the blue, right? We've actually been looking at other vehicles for a very long time. Anyway, it's not 100% yet.. more like 90%. Of course I'll let you all know if it all goes through. We have a serious buyer for Ryan's truck (the guy gave us a $1500 deposit) and financing approval by Carmax for a vehicle we love. Still praying it all works out!! :)

Definitely looking forward to tonight... eating, er, I mean, passing out candy to cute, little trick-or-treaters, while Tucker, in his sports jersey, undoubtedly goes crazy over the doorbell ringing every 3.2 seconds. I love Halloween! Not as much as the people down the street who have their yard decked out to the nines in orange, blinking lights, but I do love it. :)

And, even though I'm sure you've all seen the infamous pet costumes e-mail circulating a million times, here are a few of my favorites!

Oh, and here, go Cat Bowling. Happy Halloween!! :)

Weekend Goodness -

Good morning! They say it's going to get close to 70 today, but that's hard to believe considering there was FROST on my car this morning! Speaking of which.. I just have to mention that I have the most wonderful husband on earth.. I came out to my car, and he had cleared off my windows for me! Sweet surprises like that make my day! :)

We had a very nice weekend, and definitely appreciated the extra hour of sleep. Both Sunday and this morning, we felt like we were sleeping in! :) Ryan was even up before the alarm went off this morning. Of course, the dog's not used to it yet, so he was whining an hour earlier than usual. It's much easier to get out of bed at 6 AM when the sun is already peeking out. :)

After we dropped off my car on Saturday morning at the auto shop, we went out for breakfast at a cute, little cafe. From there, we decided to go check out some local condos.. three complexes, actually: one renovated, two new. The renovated one was definitely in our price range, but "just okay" in Ryan's words. I could see us making one very, very nice, but he had good points about it. The very last one was in an exclusive area, and we only headed over there because one of our neighbors just bought and moved into one. They're townhome-style condos.. two levels, no one above or below you. It's the kind of place where granite countertops, garages, and hardwood floors come standard.. the HOA fees includes access to a country club, digital cable, and broadband internet. ($340 a MONTH) Oh, that, and the condos START at 350k.

Thing is, I know we could get a townhome for less than that (with much less ridiculous HOA fees).. of course it wouldn't have granite and such, but how many people have granite in the first home they buy?! :) Seriously, we don't need all of that.

On Sunday afternoon, we carved pumpkins! Pretty much every Sunday afternoon is spent over at my parents' house, unless we have other plans, and my brother comes over as well. So, my brother, Ryan and I all carved pumpkins. Wanna see?

Left to right: Ryan's ghost, my racoon, and my brother's scaredy pumpkin.

LOTS of fun! :) I'm excited about tomorrow.. seeing all the little trick-or-treaters in their costumes. AND Tucker will be in his costume. :)

Well, time to roll over the phones. Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Pumpkins & Predicaments -

Good morning, and Happy Friday! I guess more of you watched Newlyweds than I thought. ;-) Though, Jessica Simpson's dumb quotes were pretty notorious.. that one was lesser known than the "Chicken of the Sea" comment heard 'round the world, though. :)

Well, I don't usually mention my aches and pains on here, (boring, much?) but I've had an interesting 6 weeks. See, I woke up on my last day at my last company with the WORST neck pain I've ever experienced. It was excruciating, to the point where I really couldn't move my neck in any direction. Well, this neck pain lasted for FIVE WEEKS, eventually moving into my shoulder blade, and finally, at long last, the pain was gone after exactly 5 weeks.

Unfortunately, the following day, while at the gym, I noticed that something was not right with my left arm. After I do cardio, I go lift free weights. Well, I could barely grip the dumbbell with my left hand, and the muscles in my left arm were pretty much useless.

I didn't decide to the see the Dr., though, until the night before last. I was carrying a glass of water in my left hand from the kitchen to the living room, a total of a mere 8 feet or so, and nearly dropped it. :( It scared Ryan, and he insisted that I get an appointment IMMEDIATELY.

So, I had my appointment yesterday afternoon at 2:30. My Dr. shook her head at me when I said I dealt with that neck/shoulder blade pain for 5 weeks, but seriously? Unless I'm practically dying, I think it's not a big enough deal to go to the Dr. Anyway, I have pinched nerve, and she thinks I have a problem with a disc in my neck, so she sent me off to get an X-ray and MRI. She also gave me a prescription for steroids, (to help with the inflammation around my nerve) and gave me a referral for a local neck and spine specialist. Lovely, right? :) I got the x-rays done immediately, but I have to schedule the MRI after I schedule an appointment with the neck/spine specialist.

Oh, and my Dr. told me to immediately stop trying to lift weights with my upper body, for now. :(

So, that's what's going on with me! Probably more than anyone wanted to know. :) I'm really, really looking forward to the weekend! We're carving our pumpkins on Sunday afternoon. Years ago, I used to be able to carve my pumpkin the day of Halloween, and it was always a race to get it out on the doorstep before the trick-or-treaters arrived. Now, it'll be a race to get home before trick-or-treaters start arriving, forget about the pumpkin carving!! :) But I always love carving a pumpkin each year.. get to be creative.

OH! OH! Tucker's new, bigger-sized jersey came in the mail yesterday, and it is soooooo cute on him! I took pictures, but I realized that I left my card reader at my parents' house, so I'll post them over the weekend. :) I also have the town pictures to post from last week!

Well, hope you all have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend! :)

"I Don't Eat Buffalo" -

(Does anyone know who said that?) Good morning! The weekend is already in sight, and I'm pretty ready for it. :) No real plans that I know of, though Ryan has my car scheduled for routine maintenance, so we're dropping it off on Fri. evening. Exciting. :) Haha. Ryan's great, though, because he takes care of that stuff so I don't even have to think about it.

My brother, Daniel, was in Buffalo, New York on a business trip Tuesday through yesterday. (where it snowed last week!) Yesterday, he took a drive out to Niagara Falls, since it's so close. Well, he sent me some pictures that he took with his camera phone! Thought I'd share..

Beautiful, no? :) These were taken from the US side. When we were a little younger, my parents took us to Niagara Falls, but on the Canadian side. It's really pretty amazing to see in person, and up-close.

Well, lots to do today! Sorry this is so short.. at least it had pictures. ;-) Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Wednesday Fluff -

Good morning! I was looking forward to wearing my new coat this morning, but I can't. :( The darn thing is too big! Wouldn't it be nice if ALL brands had the same sizing? I think that'd be just lovely. It doesn't make sense that I can be a 6, yet one or even two (!!) sizes bigger in another brand! Has anyone noticed that usually the cheaper brands run bigger while the more expensive brands run smaller? Anyway, I'm sending it back and will have to wait for the smaller size to come in.

Okay, so with regards to yesterday's "heavy" post, I realize that not everyone shares my views. (though I did appreciate hearing from those who do. Gives me hope.) Most everyone commented over on Xanga, but to the anonymous commenter who posted on here... even though you posted "anonymously," I do know who you are, and I absolutely respect your opinion. I do disagree with it, though. I believe in a God who doesn't make mistakes.. there's no gray area there for me. I don't believe we have the right to take a life which has a purpose. (because everyone's life has a purpose, even the unborn. I believe that with all of my heart.)

Okay, much "lighter" question :) - Do any of you color your hair for fall? My hair gets SO light from the sun in the summer, which means that every year I have the same dilemma: do I color it, and end up having to keep coloring it, (since I can't ever seem to match it to my natural color) or do I just let it grow out? My hair grows super fast, but it's very long already. Ryan doesn't want me to color it, so I may just let it be... I don't know. He may just be the deciding vote. :) What do you all do?

Ryan ended up leaving work early yesterday because he felt sick. :( He's feeling better this morning, and went to work, but now I'm kinda hoping I don't get it! :) I've already had it, and it's not fun. Yuck.

Anyway, it's looking like another busy day, so I need to wrap this up! Hope you all have a WONDERFUL day! :)

Soapbox Brigade -

Good morning! It's a chilly morning here today.. weather.com says it's currently 40 degrees but "feels like 31" with the wind. Brrr! I love it. :) My new dressy winter coat (on sale for $74 with a 25% coupon!) is supposed to come today, too, so it's not a minute too soon!

Oh, oh! I did take pictures here in town last week. :) I took them during my lunchbreak on Friday, and there are a few good ones that I liked, which I plan on posting. However, fall pictures definitely took precedence! :) I just had to post those first.

So, I have a confession. Last night, at the grocery store, I eagerly snatched up the new Jane magazine with Jessica Simpson on the cover. I'll admit it.. I just love her! Newlyweds, when it was still on the air, (and still true) was one of my guilty pleasures. She may not come off as the sharpest tool in the shed, but I still like her. (and she has got to be one of the most beautiful women alive, in my opinion.)

Thing is, I've really never read Jane magazine before, and I'm not sure if it was JUST this month's edition, (doubt it) but it's extremely, unbelievably liberal. I guess that shouldn't have been a huge surprise, but it was so in your face. Aside from an article on politics where they made it very clear who they favor, they also had a section on different contraceptives. Okay, fine, but rather than just give readers all of their "options," they introduced the section with a big spiel on how our awful, terrible, no-good government is trying to control what women do with their bodies, how every woman should become an activist, and so forth, to the point where I was just completely disgusted.

It's no secret that I'm very pro-life, and to be honest, the whole debate over a woman's "choice" really makes me angry. Women HAVE a choice... do I think they should have a choice AFTER their initial choice, once it involves another life? Uh, no. It's not just YOUR life you're taking into your hands at that point. You had a choice. It really seems like our society is very anti-responsibility, though, and now there are a million different "outs" so you won't have to take responsibility for your actions. Some actions have consequences, and if you're not prepared to deal with those consquences... then maybe you should think twice.

"Not a sermon, just a thought." :) Eh, if you're not from this area, you probably won't get that. Anyway, I know not everyone shares my views. I just honestly feel that supposed "toleration" (for anyone who shares their views, mind you) and whatever-works-for-you, the main views of the liberal-minded, is not a great direction for our society to be heading, to say the least.

WOW, it's nearly 11:00. It's been incredibly busy today! Some people here have discovered that I am computer and gadget literate, and I've been given quite a few new tasks.. things to set up, things to do. It's fun. :) I feel useful.

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL day! :)

Painting A Masterpiece -

We took a drive out to Skyline Drive yesterday, and it was BEAUTIFUL! If you recall, we had planned to go last weekend, but were unable to. I am SO GLAD that we went this weekend instead! The leaves were beautiful, the views were incredible, and it was the PERFECT fall day: the air was crisp, and breezy.

Oh, and brace yourselves.. 32 pictures below. (I took 60!!)

We were lucky.. several people offered to take our pic throughout the day!

Did I mention it was a BRIGHT sunny day?

I like this one. :)

Soaring.

Awww!

This is why I love Virginia!!

These Are the Days -

Good morning, and happy Thursday! :) Wow, I can't believe it's already Thursday. That half-day on Tuesday really kinda messed me up time-wise! I keep thinking it's a day behind what it actually is. :) Anyway, I feel like myself again today! I feel great, and am finally able to eat real food. Yay! Life cereal gets old after a while.

I stopped by a new condo development in our area the other day.. walked through their two-bedroom model, and was completely blown away by how gorgeous it is! Very spacious, hardwood floors, tons of storage, amazing kitchen. They were advertised at "starting in the mid-200's", but I didn't know that's for a ONE bedroom! Yeah, the two bedroom is $329k. :( Heck no. We've been looking around for a little while for something to buy.. homesdatabase.net is one of my bookmarks. :) This area is just depressing as far as prices go, though... but I'm sure we'll eventually find something. Hopefully! Even with prices going down, it's still pretty ridiculous!

Last night, I was finally able to get a better look at Tucker's paw, and figured out what he did. He broke off his dew claw completely! :( You can now see where it's just kind of hanging there. It's a relief, though, because at least now we know what happened! And no wonder he was bleeding so much, since his quik was exposed. We're really surprised he didn't yelp or anything when it happened.. it had to have hurt. Poor puggy. At least he'll be okay, and it will grow back. :)

Ryan called his corporate office and spoke with a lady there who he knew would know more about our health coverage. Sure enough.. there are only two things it doesn't cover: injectables (whatever that would include.. I don't know) and birth control. Aside from that, it's a pretty darn good plan.. 90/10. I COULD get cheaper BC, but I really, really like the one I'm on.. it doesn't cause weight gain, doesn't make me hormonal, etc. Ah well, what can ya do? :)

Oh! Tucker's football jersey came in.. it is sooooo cute! Unfortunately, their sizing chart is WAY off, and the size I ordered won't fit our "stocky" little pug. ;-) I've already re-ordered a larger size, and the one that came in is going back. At least it will be here in time for Halloween! :)

I think tomorrow I'll bring my camera in and go take pictures around town on my lunch break. :) With the leaves changing, the town is SO beautiful. It rained yesterday, and is still pretty gray out today, so maybe tomorrow will be better for picture-taking. :)

Have a great day!!

In My Bubble -

It's only 11, but it's been a very busy day! We had the local pharmacy here this morning to administer flu shots to all the staff, (those that wanted them) and also had the neighboring lawyer's office here as well. Everyone congregated in my part of the office for the morning, so it was a bit hectic. :)

I wasn't feeling well yesterday.. sometime around 10, I felt ill, and then around 11:45. I knew then that I had a stomach bug. My coworker encouraged me to go home, so I did. The nice thing about my new company is that they don't make you feel guilty for being sick. :-P

On the way home, I stopped by the store to pick up some soda. We don't really even like soda, but it does taste good when you're sick. While I was there, I decided to have the pharmacy fill my birth control prescription. I went to pay, and found out that, guess what? My new insurance (which I got under Ryan's company) doesn't cover birth control. Lovely. So, rather than my previous $15 co-pay, it was $47.99. It'd practically be cheaper just to have a baby! Okay, no, I'm joking. Really.

I spent the rest of the day on the couch watching The Break Up, and later watching Match Point with Ryan. I did like The Break Up.. it was funny, but I'm a romantic, so I disliked the ending. Match Point was.. interesting. I've heard rave reviews about it, and it did make Ryan and I talk a lot about it after watching it, but I don't know if that makes it "good." It wasn't going to end well no matter what, but they did a great job at tying it all together in the end.

Ryan took Tucker out last night, and as soon as they came back through the door, Tucker was by my side at the couch. He put his paws on my shirt, then was off to retrieve a toy. At that point, I noticed that he had left blood on my shirt. I looked him over, and sure enough, he was bleeding where his left dew claw meets his ankle. I found more blood on the kitchen floor. Ryan held him, and I cleaned him up, but we still don't know what happened! Poor pug. :(

I'm feeling somewhat better today, but I'm on the dry cereal diet at least for the rest of the day. Getting sick at work sucks, so I'm doing what I can to avoid that. Everyone was very sweet when I got in this morning, but they, of course, kind of kept their distance in case I'm contagious. :) I feel like I'm in a bubble. Unfortunately, Ryan has the bug today. :( Kind of unavoidable, but I was hoping he wouldn't catch it.

Well, hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Warning Labels -

Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. :) I was waaay too busy yesterday to post, but we had a great, if busy, weekend ourselves.

Jamin, my brother-in-law, got in on Friday evening and we all stayed up a little late catching up. I got up with the dog at 8:00 on Saturday morning, made breakfast for the guys, and headed out to the gym, where I had it all to myself. :) I took Tucker to get his nails trimmed, and picked up some dog food and a new toy while we were there.

Once I got back, we all headed out to the mall, and did some shopping, where I apparently walked right past Lydia, and didn't even know it! Very small world! Now I'm just waiting to bump into Nina, since she lives in the same city that I do. :) (There, of course, are quite a few people that I'd love to bump into! Too many names to list)

We didn't sleep very well on Saturday night. After Penn State lost, Ryan came to bed and hurt his back sometime during the night. I even woke up as he yelled, "OUCH!" when it happened. Every time he'd go to move (which he does a lot) he'd make some sort of pained noise, so we both didn't sleep very well. I got up with Tucker at 8, played with him for an hour, then thankfully was able to get back in bed when he was ready for a nap. We wound up sleeping until 11:30!!!! Sure, it was interrupted sleep, but we haven't done that in a long, long, looooong time.

Needless to say, it was way too late to even think about driving down to Skyline Drive. BUT! Everyone seems to think that the leaves won't even be peak down there until this coming weekend, soooo, we're going to get up somewhat early THIS Saturday morning, and drive down to see the leaves. :) May turn out better that way anyway!

So, I got a new toy for Tucker on Saturday. It's a plush orange fox, which is nearly as big as Tucker, and it has a big, purple squeaky bone in it's mouth. Tucker LOVES his new toy!! He was playing with it last night, and it looks harmless enough, but he started to shake it violently back and forth, hitting my foot in the process. Yeah, I now have a giant WELT on my foot from that darn toy!! It should've come with a warning label. :)

In other news, work is going very, very well. I've already been given all sorts of new work to do, which keeps me busy. (apparently, since I had NO time to write yesterday!) Can you believe I will have been here for a MONTH tomorrow?! :-O

Well, hope you all have a WONDERFUL day today!! :)

Season for Giving -

Happy Friday!! I don't know about the rest of the country, but it is CHILLY here in No. VA this morning! I had FROST on my car this morning! It got down to the upper 30's last night. I just love it. :) It's definitely fall now.

Yesterday was very, very busy here at work, so I got out and went walking through town on my lunch break. I wound up finding Christmas gifts for my Mother-in-law, and a birthday gift for my sister-in-law! I LOVE shopping in town.. so many great little shops. With my recent Christmas shopping, I've even inspired a few of my coworkers to start their shopping. :) (What can I say? I do what I can.) Anyway, I've made a major dent in our Christmas shopping!

Ryan and I went to a fundraiser last night for Life Line, a local non-profit, Christian pregnancy center. My Mom was one of their coordinators for the event this year, and she and my Dad were hosting a table, so we were invited to come. (it's "free" but donations, of course, are encouraged) Their speaker was Keith Deltano, who was absolutely hilarious, and the food was really good. We had a great time!

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. :) My brother-in-law, Jamin, is coming up this evening to stay with us, mainly so he and Ryan can watch the big Penn State game tomorrow. Then, on Sunday, Ryan and I will be taking a drive on Skyline Drive to see the fall leaves! I'm seriously excited about that, and will be taking lots of pictures, as always. :)

** Holy cow, I've reached 50 THOUSAND visitors!! Someone from Sioux Falls, South Dakota was number 50,000. WOW!

Well, hope you all have a great day, and a wonderful weekend!! :)

Inspiring -

This morning's sunrise, taken from our balcony. Look at those CLOUDS! It was all just very... pink. :) Just gorgeous. (though it was better in person!) Seriously, with that kind of start to my morning, how can it be a bad day? I think that somehow, someway, I've become a morning person.

Oh, and for up-to-the-minute Hawaii pictures, check out Em's journal. :)

This & That -

Good morning! :) Another gorgeous morning, too.. gotta love it. The weather was so inviting yesterday that I took a walk through the town on my lunch break, and ended up finding some gifts. :) Em's birthday? Check. Sister-in-law's Christmas gifts? Check. Felt pretty productive!

Well, today marks our 10 month anniversary. :) Awwww. It's really been great! Whoever said that the first year of marriage is the hardest, I think, had to have been crazy. It's been nothing but wonderful so far! Sure, there have been tons of adjustments, but I think they're fun adjustments. Ask a couple who has been married for 50 years if their first year was the hardest, and I think they'd probably laugh at you.

Okay, so I have a confession to make.. I bought Tucker his first article of clothing yesterday. I know, I know! But it was really cheap, and really cute. (and it even got Ryan's approval!)

Seriously. Is that cute, or is that cute?! Halloween is definitely covered. :) Okay, actually, he will wear that thing way past Halloween.

Ooo! Speaking of Halloween, I had wanted to go to a pumpkin patch this weekend to get our pumpkin, but... I saw a really cute, 4.99 pumpkin while I was getting groceries yesterday, and had to get it! Our doorstep is much cuter now. :)

Em is in HAWAII this week, (lucky girl!) so I'm bird-sitting her family's lovebird, Petey, while they're away. Thankfully for Ryan, this only means that I'm going over to their house a couple times this week to feed him and change his water, so he's not actually staying with us. Our bird, Bella, is already one bird too many according to my husband. ;-)

Okay, the phones are now ringing off the hook. Hope you all have a great day! :)

Sweet Autumn -

Good morning, and happy Monday! I finally made myself a new autumn-y layout.. if it looks familiar, that's because it's awfully similar to last year's. :) I love it, though.. captures what I love about fall.

Well, we had a nice weekend! Did a whole bunch of nothing on Saturday, honestly, which was nice. Penn State won, though! :) Having cable is a blessing and a curse, because if there's a football game on, anywhere, Ryan wants to watch it! But, thankfully, he's generous with the remote. :)

Sunday, we were up bright and early. We had nursery duty for the first service; I had the 8-15 month class, and Ryan had the 16-24 month class. Of course, I loved it. :) My favorites are the newborns, but 8-15 is a fun age. Ryan LOVED the 16-24 month range, because he was able to play with them. :) He says he was ready for their parents to get back after about an hour or so, but I could hear him having fun over there.

Well, just about time for me to roll over the phones. Did I mention that I love my job? I also love holidays.. I got a GREAT parking space this morning!! :) I tell ya, you don't realize how much you take a parking lot for granted until you don't have one. Though, with this kind of weather, a little walk every morning is nice. :) It's so beautiful this morning.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Worth the Price of Admission -

Good morning, and happy Friday! Wow, another week, which brings me to 3 weeks at my new job. You know, I've just noticed, for being "downtown," there are a surprising number of trees--BIG trees, trees that have been here for years upon years. Even more surprising are the number of gardens, many of which are just beautiful, and sprawling. There were five squirrels playing in the garden next door yesterday, which made me take notice. I really should bring my camera sometime.

I took some pictures last night, though. :) Not of the town, but of the Dog. Tucker is pretty much as big as he's going to get, but I think he'll still fill out more. He's not at all "fat" or even all that pudgy looking, as most pugs are. He's more interested in playing than food any day, but I'm sure that'll eventually change. :)

One thing he loves, though, are ICE CUBES! They could seriously keep him entertained for hours. That is, until they slip under the fridge.. than he's REALLY not a happy pug. So, I usually fill his water dish with them, and let him go to town.

I'm holding up an ice cube.. think he wants it? :) Too cute.

He's kind of going through a "terrible twos" phase.. at 8 months. He'll do things that he KNOWS are bad, just to get attention. Thing is, he gets tons of attention.. but he wants your attention all.the.time. He's lucky he's cute!

I'm really thankful that it will soon be the WEEKEND, but I'm not too sure what we're going to be doing yet. :) What we really should do is go get a PUMPKIN! Hopefully I can talk Ryan into going somewhere cute to get one. :) I still love pumpkin patches, even though I'm all grown up. Never too old to enjoy some things, I think.

Em is planning on meeting me in town at lunch time so we could go check out a new Chinese place for lunch, but, uh.. it's POURING down the rain! So, we'll see how that goes. :) May have to just order in!

Well, time to get back to work! :) Hope you all have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend!!

Time -

Good morning! Whew, what a day it's been already. But first, I've got to wish a big, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet, wonderful cousin, Jess. :)

It's been a little crazy over here; we didn't have our computers here at work practically all day yesterday, (they were back up and running around 3) which made my job a bit more difficult, for many reasons. Also? My boss hasn't been in the office for over a week and a half, and we're all pretty certain she either quit, or was fired. No announcements have been made yet, though, so everyone is curious about that.

It's been a good day today, though. :) It's nice and cool, and isn't supposed to make it out of the 60's! I love it. Everything is still going well over here, and I feel completely settled. It's a great feeling!

Well, it's very busy over here, so I need to head off. I'm going to try to update more often, but the easiest way to know whether I've updated or not, of course, is to just subscribe to me over on my Xanga. :) I want to get back to daily entries, though!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! :)

L-O-V-E -

It is such a gorgeous, wonderful morning. Walking the three blocks into work this morning, I couldn't help but feel happy and content. The crisp air was just delicious, and the leaves are starting to change. I really love this time of year. I love where I work. I love my life in general.

I'm sure there's no need to mention it, but I will anyway: I'm in a very happy mood today. :)

I'm really wanting to change my layout to an autumn layout, (it's OCTOBER now, after all) but I'm not able to on this computer. Ah well, maybe by next weekend. :)

Our weekend was really nice.. and much needed after a busy week. We got up on Saturday morning, and went out for breakfast! (not usual for us, so it was nice!) After a yummy meal, we headed out to the mall for a few things. We both wound up buying a new pair of dress pants, (actually, mine was an exchange.. the other pair was too short!) and some socks. :) What is it with us and socks? I'm always talking about socks.

We grilled steaks on Saturday night, with rice pilaf and broccoli. Mmm. Had a quiet evening, which was wonderful.

Sunday.. delicious meal over at my parents' house, then worked out. And you know I have to mention this.. my Redskins WON! And it was a great game after all.. a fantastic play in overtime. :) Yeah! Now tonight are my hubby's Eagles, so hopefully that'll be a great game as well.

Well, practically lunch time! Hope you all had a great weekend! :)
