I promised pictures... and, well, I forgot to take some. Oops! But I found a picture of our chair online, for what it's worth. :)
It looks kinda burgandy-ish in the picture, but our chair is a warm brown. It's italian leather, and the most comfortable thing you've ever sat in. There's a matching ottoman available, but our budget just won't allow for it just yet... oh well, something to look forward to. :)
Our evening wasn't too out of the ordinary; I went to the gym, made some dinner, and we watched some Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. We're such dorks, I know, but we love shows that require a little bit of thought. We're pretty good at Wheel of Fortune, and Ryan sucked me into Jeopardy, despite my best efforts. I even get a question or two right every now and then. :-P
The true test of love was talking Ryan into watching In Style Celebrity Weddings of 2005 with me. :) We watched it together for, oh, 15 minutes before Ryan gave me a better offer. But hey, 15 minutes! That's something. What a man. :)
This weekend was really quite fun. :) We woke up Saturday, and asked each other, "what do we want to do today?" This led us on a 45 minute scenic drive out to Winchester for a yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel! From there, we decided to check out a furniture store.. and yet again, didn't see anything we liked. After that, Ryan drove us over to the SPCA, since he knew I'd love to get a "puppy fix" by visiting with all the cute pups. (though I really think that's just his cover... I think he wanted to go as much as I did.)
After we drove back home, we headed out to Belfort, which had a really nice end table we were thinking about getting. But once we were seriously looking at it, we didn't think it was really any smaller than the one we currently have... and the reason we wanted a new one was because the one we have now is so big! In any event, we walked around the store again, and actually fell in love with this beautiful leather chair that we hadn't seen before in our previous trips.
We left, and we both kept thinking about the chair. They had a very limited supply in stock, and once they sold out, we'd have to wait 4 to 5 months for another one to be shipped. So... after discussing it a bit more, we went back and bought it. :)
Since it was in stock, they loaded it up on Ryan's truck and we were able to bring it home! We moved the ripped, tattered recliner (thanks to Kylie) out of the apartment, and put the new, gorgeous chair in it's place. It looks perfect! I'll bring in pictures tomorrow. :)
So, we were dropping off the old recliner over at the dumpster within our apartment complex, when we saw a girl with her dog up on a second story balcony. "I think that's the Boxer," Ryan told me, referring to a Boxer puppy we had been seeing around in our apartment complex. Well, we wound up talking to this girl, Liz, and she and her fiancee invited us up to their apartment. We chatted for over an hour, and ended up making some new friends. :) We all exchanged numbers, and hope to hang out again sometime. Pretty good timing, too, since, really, the only couple we were friendly with in our complex.. well, they recently broke up, and the girl moved away. We know some of our other neighbors, but we really don't share much in common, so we've never really hung out before. So, that was really nice!
Yesterday was cloudy and rainy-looking, so it was definitely a nice day to relax after our busy Saturday. After church, we went over to my parents' house for dinner, and came home in time for America's Funniest Videos, and Extreme Home Makeover. Perfect cuddling opportunity! :)
Mmm, sipping on some Starbucks this morning. It's my Friday treat. :) Too expensive to be a daily affair. I wish I could've come up with the mega-coffeehouse that is Starbucks. I mean, really, just tell people their size small is a "Tall," their medium is really a "Grande," and call their size large something really cool, like, "Venti," then charge them out the wazoo for it. Brilliant!
My hubby made it home safe and sound last night. Oh my goodness, I missed him. As cold as our weather is here, it was still much colder in Cleveland. Though they got a good little bit of snow! I wish I could've seen it. We're due for a nice winter snow storm. Mmmhmm. Anyway, I finally slept well last night, for the first time since Monday night. I'm not usually a super peppy, happy morning person, but this morning I was all chatty, because I had my hubby home to talk to. Gotta make up for lost time, you know. :)
Well, we made it to Friday! :) No running around anywhere today for me. I sat in line at the social security office for an hour and fifteen minutes yesterday, but it was all worth it, as I am no longer Emily Baldwin anymore. Legally, I am Ryan's wife, and now I also have his last name. :) So very exciting! We're going to the bank tomorrow to make my account a joint account, change my name on the account, and order some checks with BOTH of our names on them. :) This is exciting to me!
I guess we'll go to the DMV, too, but I really don't want to. It's not exactly where I want to spend the majority of my Saturday. Awful place.

I am in a GREAT mood this morning! It is bitter cold, and windy, but at least it's definitely snow weather. Now where's the snow? :)
Two pieces of great news... 1) I drove to the courthouse yesterday and got a certified copy of our marriage license! It was so windy and cold, that it wasn't crowded at all. No line whatsoever-- I just walked right up. The weather was CRAZY yesterday, though. It was flurrying in the morning, and the wind just about toppled me over. And what's with the thunder and lightning the night before? It is January, right? Bizarre. Anyway! The really good news....
2) RYAN COMES HOME TONIGHT!!! I am so excited, I can barely stand it. His flight gets in 8-ish. I don't think the airport will be very busy around that time, at least. I can't wait to have him home! I just hope that the snow they got up in Cleveland won't delay his flight at all. Did I mention ICAN'T WAIT to have my hubby home?!
Today will be yet another productive day... I'll be leaving work around 10 to go get my social security card changed. I'm praying that there won't be a long line, but if there is..? My boss already knows it could take a while, and completely understands, so that's nice. We're almost done with all of this post-wedding, legal stuff. :)
On Saturday we'll be going to the bank so that I can change my name on my account, and have Ryan placed on my account too, so it'll be our joint account. :) After his direct deposit switches over, (which could take 1 to 2 pay periods) we'll be able to close his account. It'll be so much easier having just one! Also, we'll be going to the DMV so I can get my driver's license changed, and my car title switched over. I'm not looking forward to it... I hate that place with a passion. ALWAYS a crazy long wait, no matter what day, or what time of the day you go. But Ryan will be there, so it won't be so bad.
I was getting our mail last night when I noticed a big, white bubble envelope. We don't get a whole bunch of "real" mail, but when I saw handwritten addresses, I got excited. Can you guess who it was from?

Inside, she had placed two new Christmas ornaments (in our wedding colors) for next year's tree, and the sweetest letter. (with absolutely gorgeous handwriting!) It made my entire evening! Thank you so much, Joanne. :)
I made a really good dinner... parmesan chicken, garlic herb pasta, green beans and biscuits. Then strawberry parfait for dessert. Of course, Ryan wasn't feeling so hot and wound up eating very little.. but he ate a little bit of everything so I could get his opinion on whether or not he likes it. :) Thumbs up for everything, so I guess I'll make them again sometime. The seasoning for the chicken and also the pasta were both new, so I was curious about whether we'd both like them. Mmm!
My hubby left this morning, and I won't see him again till late Thursday evening. :( He leaves for Cleveland (business trip) before I get off from work, and will fly back in at 8:00 PM Thursday. I'd already made lists of things I want to do while he's gone, (work out, clean, get my hair cut, get a copy of our marriage license, get my SS card changed, etc etc.. ) to bide my time, but when I woke up this morning... I suddenly wondered what the heck I'm going to do with myself for three days. How am I going to fall asleep in an empty bed?
I guess I'll survive--I just hate it when he's not here. I slipped a card into his suitcase this morning, so he'll see that when he unpacks tonight. I found a really cute card with a Boxer puppy on the front that says something like.. "If you weren't already in my life... I'd follow you home and ask you to keep me." Something to that effect, anyway. :) Sappy, but I like sappy.
After work on Friday, I took advantage of the amazingly warm and gorgeous weather by taking a long walk. It was wonderful. On the other hand, though, I'd love for it to be cold, and for us to get enough snow that we can't make it into work, and we get a day (or two) to cozy up by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and watching the snow come down. Mmm. That would be nice. :)
We had a movie night after Ryan got home from work on Friday--March of the Penguins. I loved it. It's amazing that the emperor penguin still exists considering how much they go through. And what can I say? I cried. Yes, I did. When the momma penguin comes back to find her little chick frozen to death, and she begins to cry--I cried. After the movie, I told Ryan I can't believe I cried over a penguin. "Neither can I," he told me. Great, thanks. :) But it was really an interesting movie, and it's pretty amazing how well it was done.
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing. We browsed a couple furniture stores on Saturday, but really didn't see anything we liked. (or could afford) Not that we're planning on buying anything right away, but we want to get a new chair (in place of the torn recliner, thanks to dear old Kylie) and a new end table, so we're just window shopping for right now.
After church on Sunday, I attempted a pot roast again.... this time it all turned out perfectly! Even the gravy. Afterwards, we were definitely ready for a nap.. but we watched BOTH of the football games, neither of which I really gave two hoots about, but neither of the teams I actually like earned a spot in the Superbowl anyway. Hmmm... do I even care enough to watch the Superbowl now? Especially since Ryan won't be here. :( He's flying back to Cleveland, again, on Sunday evening--Superbowl Sunday! He's not exactly thrilled about that.. but at least the Eagles aren't in it, or something. Then he'd really be upset. :)

About the sofa: Well, the repair guy came to see the sofa yesterday. He took pictures of where it was ripped, and had me fill out a form explaining what we were requesting. See, apparently Belfort wasn't entirely truthful with us. They told us that the repair tech makes the final decision, but that's not true at all.. he just takes pics and sends it to the manufacturer, who decides what to do. Strike One. I asked him, "what are you going to write on it?" And he tells me, "My name," and laughs. "Well, the pictures only show where it's ripped, but how will they know the whole arm is broken?" I asked. "It says right on this form what's wrong with it, that there are holes and that it's broken," he told me. But I wasn't convinced, so he wrote down a whole description of what was really wrong with it. He tears off my copy, and heads out the door. As I look over the document, I notice that nowhere does it say what's wrong with it... it just says that we needed a house call. He lied to me! If he hadn't of written down exactly what was wrong with it, we probably would not get a new sofa. Strike Two. We're supposed to hear back from Belfort within 2-3 days, so we'll see what actually happens. Drama.
Anyway, the rest of the day was wonderful. I worked out again, even though I had a great workout the day before, so my body is pretty sore and worn out today. But I feel good! Ryan wasn't feeling so hot last night, so we just cuddled and had a movie night. He and I had been passing some kind of stomach bug back and forth, and I thought we were finally in the clear. However, his sales rep has had the stomach flu this week, so we're praying he doesn't get that!
Tonight we're watching March of the Penguins, which I've wanted to see since... forever. Since it's supposed to be like a documentary, I think we'll both like it. We don't have cable, but we used to watch all kinds of different things on the Animal Planet, History channel, Discovery channel, etc. We both really like watching shows that we learn something from. There isn't a single "drama" on TV that we enjoy watching, but give us a documentary and we're happy as can be.
No real plans for the weekend that I know of, but since Ryan leaves for a business trip on Tuesday, we'll be making the most out of the time we can spend together before then. I hate business trips!! At least it's only 3 days, but still..

Last night was not the greatest night if you planned on getting a good night's rest. (which, silly me, I had)
It started out okay. I got a great workout at the gym, made us some dinner, and enjoyed some American Idol. Everything was lovely.
Fast forward to 10:00, as we're laying in bed trying to fall asleep. Cue the really, really angry neighbors upstairs who decide to participate in an all-out, knock-down, drag-out screaming match, which was so loud, I could hear every single word they said. Granted, we apparently have some rather thin walls/floors, but we quickly discovered that the guy neighbor, out of his vast vocabulary, was pretty enamored with a short, little word that begins with an "f." Which, call me crazy, after hearing it, especially strung along with other colorful and extremely derogatory words, gets a little old after the 100th time. Seriously, they went on for close to an hour. And Ryan had to be up this morning at 5:30. (which means I was up too--I can't sleep after he gets up) Ryan now thinks I have super hearing, but after a while, I wished I couldn't hear everything they said. I told Ryan that if he ever spoke to me like this guy was speaking to his wife/girlfriend/whoever-she-is, I wouldn't want to go on living. It was that bad. Given their conversation, I didn't think it was exactly a good idea to go knock on their door. But management is hearing from me today. You can't be that inconsiderate of other people and expect people to let it slide.
Add that to this morning, when Ryan's pager began vibrating sometime around 5. When set on the dresser, this becomes rather loud. And it kept buzzing every two minutes until he got up and took care of it. So, really, we were up at 5, cause neither of us could sleep after that.
I am so tired.
Good news is that I get to leave work at 11:30-ish, because the repair tech from Belfort is coming between 12 and 3 to inspect our new sofa. I hope it won't take long to get a new one! I may or may not be back to work, depending on when the tech actually shows up, and how long it takes. I work 8-4, so it'd be kind of pointless to head back for half an hour or so.
More good news, though... this morning was amazingly beautiful.
Last night, there was a special election held to determine which Republican candidate would continue on to vie for the open seat in the Senate. The Democrats already had their candidate determined, while the Republican party had two main contenders--one being more conservative than the other. They only predicted a turnout of 800, so this was pretty important. Everyone wants to be able to vote for something that matters to them.. well, this matters. This is when your vote really counts for something that affects you. I voted for Staton, the more conservative, as well as pro-life, candidate. Total turnout was 2,768, much higher than they had anticipated. Good news? Staton won! :) Not to mention, it was very cool to see a gigantic group of Republicans, all in one place.
The rest of our evening was really nice. I started tanning again, because the Cabo, San Lucas trip is right around the corner. Last thing I want to do is get down there and burn on the very first day. :) I made a yummy dinner, topped off with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. We're trying to eat healthier. :) Earlier, I was at the grocery store, stocking up on lots of fruits, veggies, and lean meat. It costs a bit more to eat healthy, but I definitely think it's worth it.
So, I really haven't done anything "creative" or "artsy" since the wedding. When I was younger, I was always painting, drawing, creating.. very artsy. I was the kid who was more interested in the box, and what I could make with it, than what was inside the box. :) I'm really feeling like I want to do something fun and artistic, I just have no idea what I want to do. Maybe I should just stroll around Michaels to get some ideas?
I also happened to find some really cute, dessert-sized plates for the new dish rack. Super cute little dishes! They showed a thumbnail-sized picture of four cute plates, for $23.95, so I clicked on them. Um, yeah, they're $23.95 per plate!!! Ridiculous. Guess I'll keep looking. :)
So, I'm getting home late on Friday--I had to work extra due to the sale of our company. I walk in the door, and what is before me? Our brand new sofa, which wasn't supposed to come in till the 24th! My hubby surprised me by moving it all in with the help of one of his sales reps. It's incredibly nice, and I absolutely love it. It fits perfectly in our living room, yada yada yada.
Only one problem--I notice two holes about the size of a fingerprint at the bottom of one side. I'm a little upset, and call the Hubby, who thinks I should call Belfort--the place we bought it. I call--they say the soonest they can have someone come out to see it is the 25th. The 25th!!
Ryan gets home, sits down on the sofa, and notices a really annoying squeaking sound. Upon further inspection, we find... the sofa is broken. Oh yes, you can feel, underneath the padding, the wood is broken. I conclude that our precious sofa has been dropped on one side. We need a replacement. So, we head over to Belfort. A rep from Belfort has to come out and conclude that we need a new one. Since Ryan will be in a meeting during the time they're coming, I get to be the one who makes sure they understand..we need a new one!
While at Belfort, I browsed their clearance warehouse, and fell in love with a really cute, wrought iron dish rack. Regularly $40, we got it for $17. :) I'm going to hang it in our dining room.
Now I just need some really cute plates...
Also, here's the sofa. :) You can't tell from the picture that it's broken, at least. Em and I went shopping for new towels over the weekend, and also happened to find coordinating throw pillows for the new sofa, on sale!
I didn't want anything too matchy-matchy, but they also really blend in well with the curtains, too.
The Redskins lost. I don't want to talk about it. But we had a great season. :)
I am really loving married life. I love our cute little apartment, and I love walking outside every morning to see a beautiful sunrise. This morning there was frost covering the grass, and the air was crisp and delicious. As I walked to my car, I noticed frost covering all the cars, but then stopped when I saw mine. It had already been cleared away by my amazing husband. He must love me or something. :)
I've been busy these last couple of days. Actually, "busy" is quite the understatement, as I haven't been this swamped with work...um, ever. I've been the "personal assistant," if you will, to my company's president, trying to get everything straightened out before the big sale. There's light at the end of the tunnel, though, and I should have it all completed by close-of-business today. Just in time for the weekend!
I was able to see my family last night for the first time in a WEEK. I had missed them so much.
We now have a wedding album! Well, half of it anyway. I ordered prints through Snapfish, and will order the remaining ones sometime in the near future. It's amazing what a difference there is between professional and regular pictures. They're even more crisp and beautiful in print than on the computer. Ryan and I flipped through them, reminiscing about the wedding. Maybe brides are blind to problems that come up, but I really remember everything going perfectly.
Okay, so that's not the complete truth. I can't forget how I had to arrange the flowers in the van--our bouquets in pitchers and vases of water, and the bouts and corsages?...oh dear. Well, I had taken pieces of cardboard, punched holes in them, and stuck them over pans of water for the little bouts and corsage stems. I was so paranoid about the flowers wilting before the wedding, that I couldn't bear to take them out of water. While my Mom and I headed to our hair appointments, I kept glancing back nervously as I heard the water sloshing around in the containers. But they made it! And our photographer made sure to snap pics of them once we arrived, so I will never forget.

So, there's a little walk down memory lane. Of course, who could forget how the van stalled twice after our hair appointment, and my Mom and I were worried that we wouldn't make it to the church? Our first month anniversary was quite lovely. :) We met over at Olive Garden at 7 last night, after we both had a very long, very stressful day at work. Including the fact that I found out that our entire accounting department will most likely be looking for new jobs after the sale of our company is finalized. Yep, after 4 years, I will most likely be looking for a new job soon, but I'm trying to stay positive. Maybe I'm supposed to go down an entirely different path altogether? I'm staying open.
Anyway, it was so wonderful to end the day on a GOOD, happy note. So, here we go...

I was walking down the aisle, and saying "I do" to the man who has my heart.
Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband, who shows me every day how much he loves and appreciates me.
We're celebrating tonight by going out to Olive Garden--mmm! We were given a gift card as a wedding gift, so we decided to hold off and use it on our first month anniversary. :) But I kinda made it a celebration last night as well, since I won't be cooking tonight. I decided to make the first meal I ever made him-- almond-crusted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. (but I forgot the asparagus, so mixed veggies instead) I rented a couple movies, and we watched Hitch with dinner. Not exactly a new release, but we hadn't seen it, so. :) I thought it was really cute.
The first month definitely flew by--with the help of a week-long honeymoon, and two big holidays, of course. Being married is exciting, it's challenging, it's rewarding, and it's the most amazing feeling I've ever known. I feel so blessed.
I've been dividing my "spare" time (what's that?) between two books--"Creative Counterpart" which my new mother-in-law gave me, and "Starting Your Marriage Right" that my Christian coworker gave me. Both are wonderful, and I've learned a lot about myself, my new marriage, and what I want to change about myself. Marriage is a whole new world, and I'm diving in. :)
Sarahis now married. :) The wedding was beautiful, and the reception was so much fun. However, it was quite a feat just to make it there. It was on Friday evening, so I had to rush home from work, wrap their wedding gifts, get myself presentable, and head out the door. Well, I get down to my car only to realize I left a label in the apartment that I promised my brother I'd make for his wedding gift to them. So, back up 3 flights of stairs for that. I'm finally in my car, and just about to turn onto Rt 7 when I realize, oh dear, I left my wedding rings at home. Can't leave without those! So I have to go back. Mind you, I'm already worried about getting there late. The ceremony starts at 6, and I don't want to miss the bride walking down the aisle!
Well, my brother was taking me to the wedding, and Ryan was going to drive me home. So I meet up with my brother at his office, about 5 miles from our apartment, and I move my gifts into his trunk, and we're off. Well, we're just about to the church when I realize that I left my shoes in my trunk. I wore my nice black boots for the ceremony, since Ryan wasn't going to be there, but I was bringing my flat shoes for the reception, so I wouldn't be taller than Ryan. (He's only an inch and a half taller than me) Sounds silly, I'm sure, but I was stressing over it. I call Ryan in distress.
My husband shows up at the reception venue with a brand new, $12 pair of 8 1/2 flat shoes he stopped off to get me on his way there from work. I have the best husband in the world.
Oh, and I forgot my camera. I'm lucky I remembered anything, really.
I attempted my first pot roast, ever, yesterday. We had to be up pretty early anyway, since I had nursery duty at church. (every church member has nursery duty twice a year) Anyway, I was put in with the newborns, so I was in baby heaven. There were only two of us, and we had 4 adorable babies to take care of. They're so little that it doesn't make much sense when your arms are aching after only two hours. :) But I had so much fun. Ryan came in after the service, and was holding one of the baby boys. There's nothing like seeing your husband holding a baby--especially my husband, who I've never seen hold a baby, ever. ;-) It was wonderful.
Oh, and the pot roast turned out great. :) In case you wondered.
I think I may be getting a bit bored with blogspot, and online journaling in general. I don't know-- I guess I'm not as interesting since I got married. :) We'll see. I'm really loving it, though... way more than I enjoyed wedding planning, that's for sure! Tomorrow is our one month anniversary, too. It's hard to believe it has already been a month!
So, yesterday my coworkers in the accounting department decided that we should all move that day. We've known for a while that we could move to a different part of the office, but they decided we should bite the bullet and finally move. It wasn't the greatest situation for me, because I had a whole bunch of work left to do before I could even think about moving my things over. I finally finished all of that at noon--and was the only one left in our old office. Everyone else had completely finished moving their things.
The new office isn't so grand, to be honest. Definitely a downgrade. :( We have way less space, and zero privacy. I'm literally sitting about 3 feet from my coworker, in an office that one of the managers (not mine) deemed "too small" for two people. Nice, right? There are two positives: we have a huge filing room in the adjacent office, whereas our other file room was stuffed floor-to-ceiling with boxes, and still waiting for the 2005 file boxes. (not sure where they would've gone!) Another positive is, whereas our old office was freezing, this office is really warm. Okay, very warm. The sun shines in on this side of the building, and warms it up to at least 80 degrees or more. No more sweaters at work for this girl.
In other news, it's Sarah & Keith's wedding day!!!! I know she certainly won't be spending any time online today, but my congrats go out to the both of them! :) I'll be riding over with my brother after he gets off from work, and Ryan will meet up with me at the reception. The ceremony starts at 6, which just so happens to be the time Ryan will leave the office... so at least my brother was nice enough to give me a ride so Ryan and I won't have to take two vehicles on the way home.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to Sarah's wedding! She has been my "wedding buddy," since we both got engaged within months of each other. But we've known each other since I was about 14 or so, I think. We went to the same church at that time, then lost contact with each other until sometime last year. She has been a huge help with all things "wedding," and has just been a great friend. Anyway, I couldn't be happier for them. :) You know I'll be taking pictures!
The new phone arrived yesterday, and I spent at least an hour with the cute thing, programming in my numbers, fiddling with the backgrounds and settings, and browsing through new ringtones. I'm excited, cause this phone plays awesome mp3 ringtones, not just the slightly-better-than-a-midi-file ringtones. So far, I have "Beautiful One" by Jeremy Camp, "Moonlight Serenade" by Glenn Miller Band, (played at our wedding) and "Boyfriend" by Ashlee Simpson... yes, I needed a girly ringtone.
But yes, I love my new phone. It's super cute! Now I just wish more people would call me so I can listen to my ringtones...heh.
Speaking of wedding music... I thought I might show you guys what all was played, for most of you who were way too far away to come to it. We were really picky with our music, but we had full access to the reception hall sound system. So what we did was put all the mp3s onto CD, and my cousin Justin played them for us, pausing for toasts, and other events. My cousin Brad was our MC, and did a FANTASTIC job. Man, I tell ya, he missed his true calling. ;-) He was awesome.

I don't know... we just didn't want to have stuff that everyone plays, you know? And neither of our families are really big into dancing. However, all of my cousins definitely are! So I made sure to play a few dancing-type songs that were okay lyric-wise, since we were in a church.
Well, should be another busy day here today at work, thankfully. This week has absolutely flown by! I'm excited, because tomorrow is Sarah & Keith's wedding! I can't wait. :) I absolutely love weddings. Hmm.. wonder why?
My night: Leave the office, go home, clean up around the apartment, gather some change-in clothes for Ryan, grab a few things at the grocery store, head over to my parents' house, fix the Hubby some dinner, read the PEOPLE magazine, make him some homemade onion dip, watch the Penn State game with him till 9, go home, make his lunch, get ready for bed, read some more of my new book from Ryan's Mom, turn off the lights at 10:30.
Hubby's night: Leave the office, eat dinner, watch the Penn State game with the Wife, come home at 1:30 AM, sleep. :)
Nothing wrong with this at all; I just thought it was funny. :) Ryan works so hard during the day, and his job is more demanding than mine is. And honestly? I never knew I'd get so much fulfillment out of being a wife. It's the best thing ever.
And thank God that Penn State won! It was apparently a very close game, but after they won? All was right in our world. :) I vaguely remember Ryan getting into bed, and he didn't seem upset, so I knew they must've won.
On a totally different note--I knew my cell phone contract with Verizon was running up sometime this month, so I logged onto their website two nights ago and was trying to figure out exactly when I had to renew. Wouldn't you know, I couldn't find a date that said when I signed up, or when I need to renew, anywhere. I was getting desperate, trying nearly every link on the blasted website. I clicked on the "Upgrade your phone" link, and what do you know? It told me that I qualified for the "New Every Two" special, where you get a new phone if you had a two year contract, and plan on getting another two year contract. (which I did) I knew I'd get a new phone, but I didn't want to pay anything for it, so I wasn't going to be picky about features or anything like I was last time. (I got the first picture phone and all that) Well, wouldn't you know... the "New Every Two" gives you a $100 discount towards a new phone, and if you buy it online, you get an additional $50 off! So, I ordered a brand new, $150 cell phone, for FREE.
It's the LG VX8100. I knew it had a camera in it, that it's BlueTooth compatible, you can access your e-mail, etc etc etc, (ie--all those other details I don't really care about) but after I ordered it, I found out that it also records up to 15 seconds of video! How cool is that? I never would've paid $150 for a new phone, but for FREE? That's just awesome. It should arrive by Friday! :) I'm so excited!
Well, must get back to work. I'm trying to get all this work off my desk... it's just so inconsistent. Some days I have nothing to do, then the next? I'll have multiple projects given all at once. But it keeps me busy! :) Hope you all have a great day!

'05 was the most amazing year of my life. It was tough in some ways, but overall the most wonderful year. I got engaged to Ryan, we planned a wedding, we took months of premarital counseling, and we got married. Those would certainly be the biggest things that come to mind. ;-) But in all the rush, it feels like the entire year just flew by. I'm a married woman now, which is amazing to me, and I'm very excited about the possibilities that this new year holds.
New Year's weekend was wonderful! We had a great time with Ryan's family, and even went to see the UVA vs. Hartford basketball game on New Year's eve with them--my first basketball game, ever. (they won!) Yesterday was spent cleaning and watching football over at my parents' house. I'm pretty neutral on the matter, but Ryan can't stand Notre Dame.. so I'm glad Ohio won, for Ryan's sake. And of course, tonight is the Penn State game. Go PSU!
Speaking of football... my Redskins somehow have made it to the playoffs! :) I realize they're not Super Bowl calibur here, but really, we haven't had a decent season since the early 90's.. so I couldn't be more thrilled about this season!
Well, today is a huge day for Ryan. Starting today, he is officially the new office manager of his branch! This is a major deal for him, and I am so, so proud of my husband. He has worked so hard for this, and I know that he's going to do so well in this new position.
Going to be a busy day at work today, but I'm definitely getting spoiled with these shorter weeks, because it's already Tuesday! :) It's going to be a great week. So far, here's what's planned.. we've got Sarah & Keith's wedding on Friday night... the Redskins game to watch on Saturday... and I'll be in the newborn nursery for the 9 o clock service on Sunday. Awww, babies. :) I'm sure we'll stuff more things into the schedule throughout the week. That's usually how it goes. :)
Now I just need some really cute plates...
