At the very last possible moment, Ryan was offered an extra ticket to go see the Eagles take on the Ravens in Baltimore last night. Of course, he was way beyond thrilled about this. :) They didn't win, but hey, at least it's still pre-season. Besides, just $10 for my hubby to see his Eagles play? Not a bad deal at all!
So, since Ryan was going to be gone for the evening, (the game didn't start till 8) I headed over to my parents' house, where they spoiled me with Original Steakhouse take-out. Their filet mignon, wild rice and squash are heaven to your tongue. Seriously delicious! I was able to check out their nearly-finished sunroom, which looks amazing, and just spend a little bit of time with them. :)
My hubby has the day off today, for two reasons: 1) he got home very late last night, and 2) he's laying hardwood floors down in my parents' sunroom today. My hubby is extremely handy! :) It's not the first thing he's done for my parents, either.. he also built them a gorgeous, custom window seat. You could say that he didn't get to marry me for free. Yes, I'm totally kidding..
An opportunity has presented itself, and Ryan and I may be able to rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo for about $50 more than we pay for our 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. Still too early to see if this will work out for us, but please keep it in your prayers if you think of it. :) It would be a great thing for us.
A few of you asked (on here, and over on xanga) what kind of company Ryan and I are starting. In a nutshell, it deals with direct sales, as well as business building through business partners. Our sponsor has been extremely successful with it; she was one of the first to reach the 1 million income mark, and presently is at the Director level. (meaning she makes at least $18k a month) Needless to say, she's an incredible resource! We're not money-hungry, greedy people by any stretch.. but it's our goal to build this business to the point where it can generate enough income for BOTH of us to quit our full-time jobs. We crave financial freedom, with the hope that we can focus more on each other, our interests, and especially our future family someday.
(Ryan has always said that he wants to be that dad who is able to take his children out to the school bus stop in the morning, and be there in the afternoon when they get back. I adore my husband.)
In any event, that's the very watered down version, so if you want to know more than that, just ask. :)
We've got a party to attend tomorrow.. but I'll tell you all the details on Monday! Definitely expect lots of pictures, though. :)
Happy Friday! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Iam just saying this we are steerlers fans and they won the super bowl and they were the champions!!! But now it's pre-season and almost the new season soon to start sorry that we aren't eagles fans but both of those teams are very good. We will keep you both in prayer for you both and tucker too how is he doing? Have fun at the party and enjoy I bet those pictures will be good. Hope your weekend goes well too Shawn
Emily: That sounds cool. Guess what I think all husbands don't get to marry their wives for free. Anyway have a great weekend. We are praying for you. God Bless. I'd love to see pics of you apt. Well talk to you later. God Bless. Tina
nice to have a handy hubby for sure...since my mr.t started his own business as a construction guru this year he hasn't done as much to our house as he wants, although he was able to pour an entire walkout patio for my mom recently, and just got his permit to build a HUGE garage...over 1100 square feet....he says he'll use every last inch of it :) that man is amazing, he can do literally anything, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, siding, you name it....yep i would say in the long run being handy is quite cost effective :) vincencia
